Who We Are
Meet the Owner — Julie Roe
Julie Roe is a proud farm kid from Greene, Iowa. Raised on a small crop & dairy “Century Farm,” she learned the value of hard work, reliability, & integrity. She has degrees in accounting & marketing, which she claims makes her an extroverted bean counter & natural penny pincher. Julie has worked in multiple roles for a variety of business sectors & found her “home” back in agriculture in 2010.
She has a passion for helping family farms succeed & thrive, has an opinion on almost everything (just ask her), is a health cancer thriver, & laughs at almost everything except business. Julie, as business owner & manager, reviews every farmer’s marketing plan personally to make sure they align with solid risk management strategies.

Tommy Kuhl — Consultant
Tommy Kuhl is a farm kid that grew up around corn and beef cattle in central Iowa. After obtaining his Bachelors degree in Architecture and minor in Business Management from the University of Minnesota, Tommy came back to the farm as he began his career in grain origination and farm marketing. He loves the opportunity to work with farmers in the communities that raised him. Over the last 5 years, Tommy has enjoyed forming lasting relationships with farmers, and looks forward to many more!
A part of a marketing plan for many farmers may include the use of futures & options on the Chicago Board of Trade. Hedging prices “on the board” to protect a price while there is production uncertainty may offer a tool useful to some producers. Farmers may also choose to reduce downside price risk and/or open upside pricing opportunity with the use of options. Your Ag Marketing Department consultant will help you determine if futures and/or options are right for your operation and for your personal and financial risk tolerance profile.
